Corri Farmer
Corri Farmer has been a professional educator for more than 25 years. She worked in the Shelby County school system for 10 years both as a classroom teacher, and as a co-teacher in classes for special-needs students in grades K through 9, across all subject areas. She is well-versed in how to adjust her teaching methods to meet the needs of a variety of learners, as she has taught students who are struggling, students who are at the honors level, and everywhere in between.
Corri is also a veteran homeschooling parent, having homeschooled her own children, other family members, and many other students over the years. Currently, Corri homeschools her 2 boys and 3 other children daily. She also works as a private tutor with students outside of her family. Her vast experience in the classroom, in homeschooling, and as a private tutor have given her opportunities to teach students in nearly every subject area! She very much enjoys helping each student meet their goals – no matter their age, ability, or learning style. Corri holds a B.A. in Anthropology and a Master of Arts in Education with Licensure (specialty area in math). Both degrees are from the University of Memphis.
Corri and Brad have been married for 24 years and have 3 beautiful children.Samantha (17) in the 11th grade, Ben (13) in the 7th grade and their youngest Eli (10) in the 4th grade. In her free time, Corri enjoys spending time with her family, reading (especially history books), and anything to do with nature. The Farmer children have attended Cordova Tutorial off and on for over 10 years. The 2024-2025 will be Corri’s first year as a tutor at CC and she is excited to be part of the team and have a chance to meet and work with all of the wonderful families.
