Tiny Scholars
Pre-K
Welcome to our Pre-K Homeschool Class! (Child must be 4 by September 1st)
This gentle learning experience is designed for young children to explore the world around them, spark creativity, and nurture a love of learning!
What will we do in class?
Our time in class will focus on developing early learning skills in reading, math, age-appropriate self-care, character development, virtues, and creativity. Exploring art, music, quality literature, and free play will spark a love of learning! We will introduce pre-reading, writing, and math skills such as letter recognition and basic counting, as well as improve our fine and gross motor skills. Learning to hold a pencil, using scissors, basic personal care, cooperative play, problem-solving, and manners will be essential in our class time together.
This class will recognize each student's individual needs. Children will be encouraged to give their best effort, but mastery is not required. Learning will happen through exposure to many topics, learning alongside friends, and planting seeds for future educational benchmarks through a blend of structured activities and free play.
We will celebrate the seasons, including holidays, celebrate birthdays and milestones, and incorporate show and tell into each morning.
The class schedule will also allow for snack time and recess! Students have the option to stay for lunch from 12:15 to 12:45 at an additional cost. Lunch will be held in the Pre-K classroom with the Tutor.
