Exploring STEM: Building Young Innovators

Embark on a 30 week journey of discovery in our hands-on STEM class designed for curious kindergarten through 3rd -grade learners. This interactive course introduces foundational concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through fun age-appropriate activities. Students will build, experiment, and explore as they learn to solve problems, ask questions and think creatively. From constructing bridges and other structures to exploring nature and patterns, every lesson is crafted to spark excitement and develop critical thinking skills.

Class will begin with a story that poses a problem to be solved. Students will then be led through the STEM process as a class (ask, imagine, plan, create, test, improve). Then as they work together in groups, students will be expected to listen to and respect everyone’s ideas. They will collaborate with each team member throughout the entire process.

The goal in STEM education is to activate students’ curiosity, leading them to ask good questions, and transferring the responsibility for learning from the teacher to the student.
