Jan Schulte
Jan Schulte has a B.S. in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy and a MPA from the University of West Florida. She spent ten years on active duty in the U.S. Navy as a pilot and instructor pilot before becoming a mom 22 years ago. She exclusively homeschooled her two daughters, who loved taking classes at TCT since its inception. Her oldest daughter is a senior in college, and her youngest is a college freshman. She and her husband, Scot, have been married for 32 years.
As a homeschooling parent, she found herself confronted with several learning disabilities in her home and saw a need for the availability of intervention in dyscalculia. Having a love of math, she pursued certification in dyscalculia remediation and became certified as a Dyscalculia Tutor through the Dyscalculia Training Center. She additionally received training in OG (Orton-Gillingham) Multisensory Math from OG Academic Math and Education. She is excited to offer her tutoring at TCT and partner with parents in helping their children find success in math.
