Explore the exciting arts of crochet and hand sewing as you gain the fundamental skills needed to craft amazing projects. Crochet is not only a useful skill but also an excellent outlet for creativity and self-expression. The techniques acquired in this class can be used to fashion handmade gifts as well as practical items.

Through our hand sewing projects, students will learn essential skills including running stitch, backstitch, whipstitch, and button sewing. Projects will include a pin cushion, a drawstring bag, and a small pillow.

Students will then learn basic crochet stitches and pattern reading skills as they create amigurumi (adorable, small stuffed toys!) and other projects chosen by the class.

Required materials: Tutor will provide all necessary materials.

Homework: Some students may require extra time to complete projects at home if they are unable to finish in class. This is not a graded class.
