Explore the exciting art of crochet and hand sewing as you gain the fundamental skills needed to craft amazing projects. Crochet is not only a useful skill but also an excellent outlet for creativity and self-expression. The techniques acquired in this class can be used to fashion handmade gifts as well as practical items. Students will learn basic crochet stitches and pattern reading skills as they create amigurumi (adorable, small stuffed toys!), cup cozies, simple wearables, and other projects chosen by the class as time allows. As we venture into our hand sewing projects, students will learn essential skills including running stitch, backstitch, whipstitch, hemming, and button sewing while creating fun and functional projects.

Required materials: Tutor will provide all necessary materials.

Homework: Some students may require extra time to complete projects at home if they are unable to finish in class. This is not a graded class.
