Brenda Lamey
Brenda and her family found the Tutorial many years ago as a supplement to their own home education. She joined the staff as a Tutor in 2020 and has enjoyed teaching various subjects for K-8th graders. She especially loves the enthusiasm, creativity, and humor of young learners and strives to make her classes engaging with hands-on activities and lots of discussion. She loves to incorporate food into her lessons, if possible and enjoys partnering with parents to enhance their homeschool studies. Brenda is keen to share her favorite subjects and interests with your students including English, History, Geography, and Fine Arts! Her teaching style leans towards a Classical/Montessori approach with adaptability for all students. Brenda is also the PTA Tutor Sponsor and Graduation Sponsor for the Tutorial.
Brenda is a wife of 20 years to her husband, Che, and a mother of 3 children, all whom have been homeschooled. They make their home in Arlington. They love their Church, all things Disney, sharing time with their extended families and friends, and serving in their community. In her spare time, she also works for Pink Flamingo Catering.
