Human Anatomy and Physiology

All creation is awe-inspiring, but the work of the human body, created in the very image of God, is especially jaw-dropping! This 30-week, 1.5 hour class will engage in the fascinating study of anatomy and physiology, showcasing the intricacy of the human body. Each week we will look at God’s amazing design while studying DNA, the cell, and various systems of the body. The text is a complete guide to the human body integrated with health and nutrition information, as well as plenty of scripture and biblical application. It is written in an enjoyable, conversational tone that will hold the students’ attention. This class includes lecture, experiments, anatomical models, dissections, and hands on experiences of all kinds. Each activity will drive home the concepts covered in the class and the text. We will also study and explore the history of medicine in our secondary text. This A&P for Middle School class will be challenging and fun!
