High School English 11/12—American Literature, Composition, and Grammar
This 32 week 1 ½ hour class is designed for high school students to fulfill the requirements of one high school credit in English with American literature.
Students will read short stories, poetry, novels and biographies of great Americans. Additional context readings will give personal perspective on historical context and author information. Analytical skills will be used to write approach papers, essays, and other compositions. Proper MLA paper formatting and documentation will be learned, along with research techniques. A grammar component will freshen up grammar and punctuation skills.
This is a college prep course, and can be upgraded to an honors level course. Parent much contact instructor for approval and to discuss additional requirements.
Instructor will supply necessary curriculum and reading. Supply Fee reflects instructor’s purchase of these items.
