Lisa Freeman is a homeschool mom and a licensed attorney. She was the managing partner of a general practice law firm and zealously represented clients in criminal and civil matters before courts throughout Virginia. After becoming a mom, she transitioned her career to be an Administrative Law Judge for the Virginia Department of Social Services. There she showed compassion for people in complicated situations by applying the law accurately and without bias.
She has a passion for teaching and watching students grasp concepts once thought boring or complicated. Lisa has taught various legal studies courses at a junior college and online to students pursuing graduate degrees. Students consistently stated in evaluations that Lisa made her classes interesting and understandable.
Lisa has worked on and managed local and state-wide political campaigns in Virginia. Prior to law school, she worked for five years as a legislative assistant in the Virginia General Assembly.
Lisa has a bachelor of Science in Government Administration and a Minor in Economics from Christopher Newport University. She is a graduate of Regent University School of Law.
She has been homeschooling her son, Blake, for the last five years. She enjoys traveling with Blake and her husband, Mark. She is new to Memphis after living for four years in San Diego, California.
