Brittany Lyles

I’m a homeschooling mother of five and a graduate assistant at the University of Memphis completing a doctoral degree in history. I have been teaching history at the university since 2013. I have a MA in history from the UofM as well as a BA in anthropology from the University of Montana. I have a passion for history, culture, languages, and literature, and I hope to be able to share that with the great families of TCT!

My kids range in age from 14-years-old all the way down to five! We’re active in our church parish where I volunteer as a Sunday school teacher. Overall, we have a very relaxed approach to homeschooling, and one of our favorite things about Memphis is the many great field trip opportunities. High Point Climbing Gym is one of our frequent haunts where I also sponsor a homeschool Interscholastic Climbing League (ICL) that meets once a week!
