Mystery of History - Volume II, Early Church - Middle Ages

This course picks up where the story of Mystery of History Volume I leaves off – at the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Chronologically based stories integrate Bible history with world history covering all around the world the history of the Early Church, the fall of the Western Roman Empire, the Dark Ages, and the struggles of the Medieval church.

Coursework utilizes pretests, classroom activities, mapping exercises, worksheets, quizzes, and tests. Students will work together to create a classroom-illustrated timeline.  Additional literature books will be suggested.

Parents will have the option to choose a weekly schedule that works for their family.  Options will include:

  • Level A: Student-assigned mapping exercises, additional activities outside of class, memory cards, supplemental reading, and student notebooks.

  • Level B: Additional activities outside of class.

  • Level C: Participate in class only with no outside homework.

Students will benefit from incorporating scripture from the Bible while studying the Early Church and Middle Ages in this 30-week course, meeting for 90 minutes a week.
