This course is a culmination of science, history, and technology. Through the study of inventions, technology, and inventors we will deepen your child’s fascination with science. We will approach Science from a God-centered worldview, exploring the Creator and His creations students will come to understand that all things come from God.

The Answers in Genesis Science, God’s Design for the Physical World curriculum will be used in this course. Supplemental resources such as books and videos will be used for experiments and projects to reinforce the text.

We will explore modern marvels in the areas of communications, transportation, military, medical, and entertainment, We’ll answer questions such as: Who invented the printing press? How does television work? How does the radio produce sound? How are computers made? How does the internet work? and much more.

Students will not only learn the what and why about these inventions, but more importantly how they work. They will learn the history, how they contribute to society, and their evolution over time. Students will not only learn facts, but will be actively engaged in a variety of ways. Through the use of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts students will become inventors through participation in class projects to apply their learning to solve real-world problems, like the inventors they will study.

Tutor will provide assignments to be completed weekly and supplies as needed to accompany lessons. Tutor and students will meet at the scheduled class time via live video streaming to review material and answer questions. Testing will be submitted and graded/corrected electronically. Our goal is to meet in person as soon as it is feasible. We may begin classroom meetings at any point during the school year as the COVID-19 situation resolves.
