Exploring Drama

Exploring Drama

This 30 week class will introduce students to basic theatre and drama
techniques including dramatic readings and acting. Students will have
both formal and casual assignments and will participate in a class
production at the end of each semester where students will not only act,
but also make scenery and costumes and work behind the scenes. Students
will learn theatre terminology and other skills which will better enable
them to participate in other theatre venues.

Play dates are Saturday, November 18 and Saturday, April 21. Please check these dates for conflicts before you sign up for class as the dates are firm and stage has already been booked. Scheduled plays are The Velveteen Rabbit (November) and Beauty and the Beast (April). These plays are tentative, subject to number and make-up of students enrolled in each class.
