TCT will be offering these classes for K-3:
Magic School Bus Adventures
Join us in this 30 week 1 1/2 hour class as we take exciting trips on the magic school bus! We will read books from the popular series and do hands-on activities that will reinforce the concepts taught in the books. Each week students will participate in group activities that will encourage a love of science. Our activities will include experiments, art projects, games, and many other fun projects.
In this 30-week 1 1/2 hour course we will read award winning children’s books and then participate in activities which will bring the books to life. Activities will include games, crafts, writing activities, and many other fun projects! We will read Aesop’s fables, fairy tales, and many Caldecott and Newberry winners. The goal of this class is to introduce children to wonderful literature that will instill a love of reading!
Galloping the Globe
In this 30 week 1 1/2 hour geography class, we will gallop around the globe and visit countries from each of the 7 continents. Each week we will focus on a particular country as we learn about famous people, important customs, and holidays. We will sample foods, work on exciting projects, and develop map skills. No reading skills required.
Jumping Into Geography A
During this 30-week 1 ½ hour class we will study the topography, customs, languages, flora, and fauna of 27 different countries. Our class will even eat some of the native foods from each country.
Fun With Science
Come explore the world of plants and animals in this class for K-3. From mammals to arachnids and trees to algae we will explore God’s design in nature!
Fun With Art
This fun art class will take your child’s artistic ability to the next level. Lessons will be a step by step drawing instruction to develop his or her ability to break down any picture into simple components. I will be teaching proper techniques with oil pastel, chalk pastel, water color, marker and colored pencil. You will be amazed what your child can create throughout the year.
I am looking forward to helping your child have Fun With Art!

Art Around the World A
In this 1-1/2 hour 30 week class we will discover the unique landscape or art/artists of each state in the United States of America. Even if not taking the Jumping Into Geography class, this art class could be the one for you!
Then the students will add their own personality in the details. My ultimate goal for the year is to turn these students into budding artists confident in their new skills. I will weave color theory and famous artist information into the lessons when appropriate. My hope is that my students will be engaged in work that is meaningful and challenging to them while simultaneously experiencing the joy of creating!
SHOW-N-TELL K-3rd grade
This 30 week interactive class is a fun, low-pressured introduction to public speaking class for little ones. Each week, your young student will have a simple show-n-tell, or ‘presentation’, topic (I.e. “bring a favorite toy and tell the class 3 reasons why it’s your favorite”, or “dress like your favorite book character and tell why”). After giving their “presentation”, classmates will have the chance to ask questions. This engaging class will develop your child’s confidence levels, and teach them not only how to be a better speaker but how to be a better listener.
Tigres A (“Tigers” Beginner Spanish, year A)
In this 30-week class, we will explore Spanish in a fun, hands-on way, using conversation, games, music, food, and books. We will be “Exploradores” (Explorers) who visit Spanish-speaking countries, sample their foods, listen to their music, and celebrate some of their festivals and holidays. Guest speakers will share why Spanish is important to them and how they use it in different ways. The class goal is for students to know basic daily vocabulary, be able to carry on brief conversations in Spanish and be enthusiastic about further language learning. Take-homes will help parents and siblings to join in learning Spanish and having conversations together! This class focuses more on spoken than written Spanish, although we do cover some of both. (This class is Year A so students who had Tigres B the previous year can participate again and learn different vocabulary, as well as students who have no previous Spanish.)
Drama is a 30 week, 90 minute course that gives students the opportunity to explore acting and other aspects of theater production. Class members participate in theater games using improvisation and pantomime. Students also read, direct, perform and evaluate monologs and skits in the classroom.
Fall Production will be “The Best Christmas Pagaent Ever”, performed on Saturday, November 17.
Spring Production will be decided based on make-up of enrollment. Title and date of production will be announced midway of fall semester.

S.T.E.M. K -3
Come join us for a fun introduction to the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Activities will challenge students to work together in groups to complete the given task. These activities are fun, engaging, and the students will learn in the process. Students will be introduced to the design engineering process by helping the 3 Little Pigs build the strongest house possible to evade the big bad wolf. We will construct a pulley so Rapunzel can stop lifting things with her hair. Group work and problem solving are at the heart of these challenges.
